painting big on unstretched canvas

I don't currently have access to the tools I would need to stretch my own canvases. This means, if I want to work on something sturdy, I'm limited in size (since I also don't have access to tons of money which could be spent on shipping large prestretched canvases). Since neither power tools or bags of money seem to be on the horizon, I'm giving unstretched canvas a try.  Honestly, it feels so good to be painting big again, I don't really give a hoot whether or not these works will hold up over time.

Instant Art Gallery kit

Exhibiting in galleries could be considered an essential characteristic of a "professional" artist. My historical lack of interest in this area of the art world has resulted in a significant gap in my c.v.

To increase the chances of having my work exhibited, I have created the Instant Art Gallery. Each kit includes 4 prints of my artwork to be installed as desired.

Curators are invited to tag shows on social media, so that I may keep track of which shows I've participated in. #instantartgallery

Street Art in Morocco

I wasn't sure what I would find, as far as Street art, in Morocco. In the spring of 2015, Rabat hosted Jidar: Street Canvas, and this year, Marrakech opened its walls up to artists as part of its 6th Biennale. These are sanctioned and complex pieces, but I found a few simple ones during my visit too.

Paris Street Art II

Drizzles turned into sunny skies. Perfect weather for rambling. Found many faces on the streets of Paris today. See yesterday's collection of street art finds too: http://www.funkhouserdesign.com/stories/2016/2/22/paris-street-art-i
